DISCOVER: Lodge Lovin'

Whenever we find ourselves daydreaming about redecorating the ol' dam, we take a quick break to browse our go-to web resources for all things house and home. We absolutely drool over articles from The Style Files, Dwell, Apartment Therapy and Dezeen. Even if we can't give our pad a complete overhaul, these sites inspire us to add a dash of whimsy, a bit of bright colour or a touch of texture.

Are you planning any renovations over the next few months? Where do you get your abode inspiration?

We fell in love with this chic-meets-child-friendly den, with an overall elegance for adults and bright colour, comfy cushions and bold shapes for the kiddies.

There was just something about this elegant 1920s Spanish Revival–style kitchen that made us salivate. Perhaps it was all that delicious dark wood...

We have three problems: Too little furniture, a weakness for vintage elements and nowhere to store our luggage. Voila! Problem solved!

We think Kaspar Hamacher's wood stools would look just perfect in our beaver den.

We're also partial to this Twig Furniture by Andrew Gardner.

INDULGE: Recipe Roundup

We've tweeted some mouthwatering recipes lately, which has inspired us to round up five of our faves. What made the cut? Two delicious spreads (future BeaverTails toppings, perhaps?), a cardamum-infused cookie, a tasty apple tarte and a chocolate treat that's positively sinful. Do you have a favourite recipe that you'd like us to feature? Leave us a comment and let us know! We're always curious to know what's cooking in your kitchen.

"This carrot cake conserve is just the thing to make on the cusp of spring. It's filled with juicy raisins and crunchy walnuts, and spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves."

"Brilliant green, slightly sweet, and intensely nutty, it's easily one of the best spreads I have ever eaten."

"These cookies bring together two simple and elegant flavors: aromatic cardamom and dark, almost caramelly brown sugar."

"It tastes like something straight out of a Paris pastry shop."

"Extremely easy to make and very sweet to eat, these are a sure-fire way to kick off Easter Candy season in style."
